SHANE BLANEY says Motherwell shouldn't rely on a rant from their gaffer to spark them into life.

Stuart Kettlewell castigated his team for conceding from corners at St Johnstone on Tuesday.

He panned them for a poor reaction to falling behind as the Steelmen's soft centre looked like extending their miserable run.

But the response to a half-time hammering did the trick as Well avoided a third straight defeat.
