AIDAN DENHOLM name checked Steven Naismith as his Hearts guru but he insists it is his granny who has masterminded his meteoric career.
The 19-year-old has signed a three-year-deal to remain with the Jambos until the summer of 2026 and he admits it's a far cry from playing for free as a part-timer and being driven to games by his cherished chauffeur.
Grandmother Ann was given a special mention by the teenager as he revealed the pivotal role she's played as he committed his longterm future to the club.
He said: "I'd say Steven Naismith's been my biggest influence. He knows I've not had an easy path. I was offered part-time when I was 16 so I didn't get offered any deal or cash.
