BRIAN GRAHAM didn't even talk to his wife about it, never mind watch it back in the near four weeks since.

But inside the boardroom at Firhill, the 35-year-old is in full flow, reliving a defeat in Dingwall that settled Partick Thistle's league status and, in particular, a moment he can't compute.

At 3-0 up on aggregate, with less than 20 minutes to go, Nick Walsh is at the monitor poring over a flashpoint that would see Graham charged with handball and Ross County score from the spot to kickstart a comeback.

For Graham, who was up at 6am the next morning to go to the Oriam to do his A Licence for four days, the memory will linger for a long time yet.

He said: "That's the worst, worse than losing the Scottish Cup Final with Dundee United.

"It was horrific because we were so close, 3-0 up with 20 minutes to go. Then a couple of dodgy decisions and the next minute it was level.

"Listen, I've grown up playing football where you're told to get tight. My arms are not around him, I'm tight, I'm close enough to him, I've been elbowed in the face. It hit his arm and hit my sleeve - how they can give that as a penalty in VAR is absolutely ridiculous, especially when they've chalked off a first-half penalty for us.
