BY-ELECTION DAY IS HERE
THE Rutherglen and Hamilton West byelection could be a "launch pad" for Scottish Labour, the party's leader has declared.
Anas Sarwar said the by-election has "the potential to be seismic" as he joined Labour candidate Michael Shanks on the last day of campaigning.
Shanks, who is the current favourite, is up against the SNP's Katy Loudon in the contest for the vacant seat after former SNP MP Margaret Ferrier was ousted for breaking Covid rules.
