A BOY, 12, who killed a foster carer by reversing over her told police: "Looks like I got my first kill." Marcia Grant, 60, died after being struck by her own car on her driveway.
It was claimed the boy had "reversed at some speed" causing catastrophic injuries to the grandmother.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was detained by police and accused of murder, which he denied.
When he first appeared at a youth court, it emerged police noted he said, "Is she dead?", "Looks like I got my first kill," and "It was an accident, I swear." On Tuesday, the youth, now 13, admitted an alternative charge of causing death by dangerous driving.
The boy had already admitted the possession of a bladed article, a kitchen knife. He will be sentenced on December 1 at Sheffield Crown Court, South Yorkshire.
