'Murder' relative on attack charge

ALLEGED ASSAULT FOLLOWS TRAGEDY

A “MURDER” victim’s relative has been charged over an attack that took place just hours after his death.

Greenock dad Michael Beaton, 35, died after he was found wounded in the town’s Drumfrochar Road shortly after 7pm on November 26.

Twelve hours later, police were called to investigate another alleged attack in the town involving one of Michael’s family members.

It is understood the alleged victim of the attack is a 30-year-old man known to Michael.
