LIAM SCALES admits he’s living the dream in a Champions League playground.
And the boyhood Celtic fan is determined to ensure there’s plenty more magical moments ahead by earning himself a new long-term deal in Paradise.
Scales has been a revelation this season since returning from his year on loan at Aberdeen.
His performances have been recognised at international level too where the 25-year-old has won three Republic of Ireland caps.
Earlier this month Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers opened the door to a new deal for the defender who still has 18 months left to run on his current contract.
And Scales – who has reportedly caught the eye of Anderlecht – hopes to bank more big Euro nights by extending his stay in the east end of Glasgow.
He said: “Yeah, definitely. I’m loving it here at the moment. As a kid from Ireland brought up this is where I’d want to be and playing regularly. I’m happy here and I definitely wouldn’t want to rush away from it.
“It’s the happiest I’ve been in football these last few months playing every week.
“If I can do that for as long as I can then brilliant.
“But I put these things to the back of my mind and let other people deal with that so I can get on with what goes on on the pitch.
