Spurs No.2 Cristian Stellini admits the South Korean star still needs his minutes managed after coming back less than 100 per cent from the World Cup.

But the previously misfiring frontman gave the perfect response to his critics by adding to Emerson Royal's opener against West Ham.

Stellini said: "We knew what his response would be because Sonny is a perfect guy. Sometimes after the World Cup a player is not 100 per cent.

"If you play them, the risk is that you lose a player for a long time. The confidence is 100 per cent but physically you need to recover.
