A DOCTOR has braved earthquake aftershocks in Turkey pregnant to help women who have been pulled from the rubble of ruined buildings.
Obstetrician Paul Holmes is part of the emergency medical team deployed to the disaster zone through the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
The 56-year-old, normally based at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert, near Falkirk, told how part of their makeshift hospital in Turkoglu caught fire after one strong tremor caused an electrical fault.
