CASES of gonorrhoea in Scotland have risen by almost half in just three years.
In 2022, there were 5641 diagnoses the highest in 10 years and a 49 per cent increase on the 2019 figure.
Most diagnoses were in men and were more than double those in women. Of the female diagnoses in 2022, 77 per cent were in those aged under 25 years old.
