SIGNS ARE GOOD AS REBORN GERS SHOW NO SIGN OF FLAGGING

THE impressive ‘By Your Side We’re Loyal and True’ banner proved a tad problematic to unfurl across the Broomloan Stand.

But the message was loud and clear. He’s only in the job a month but Philippe Clement has united the support behind a group of players who look reborn.

And when this place is together special things can happen.

He’s certainly getting his own message across to his troops with minimum fuss.

And if the Union Bears had a minor headache unravelling their display then thankfully there was less trouble for their heroes taking down Sparta Prague to move to within one win of qualification.

Maybe the punters could have asked Clement to help pre-match. By his own admission the new boss is well versed in facing puzzling situations since he arrived at Ibrox after all.

Last week it was the neverending Ibrox injury list which had the Belgian baffled.

Coming into this one it was the absence of fit and firing personnel from the European squad selected by his predecessor Michael Beale that had Clement scratching his head in utter mystery.

But now it looks like he’s worked out a Euro route that will lead all the way to the knockout stage.

Perhaps most impressive of all, after making it six games unbeaten, the new man in charge looks like he truly does have the solutions to a raft of problems that were as self-inflicted as they were terminal for Beale.
