So, Michael Matheson..was there anything worth streaming on January 2, which might see á Scottish football fan rack up an £8.6k data charge from their holiday in Morocco?

Michael HEALTH Secretary Matheson has been urged to "come clean" over whether his £11,000 data roaming bill was caused by watching football.

He racked up £8600 of charges in a single day on his Holyrood iPad during a family holiday in Morocco and Rangers played Celtic at Ibrox on that day.

Scottish Labour depute leader Jackie Baillie said: "This is a phenomenal own goal from Michael Matheson.

"He must come clean over whether he, or his family, used his parliamentary devices to watch the football before his actions blow the full-time whistle on his ministerial career.

Matheson has said that an out-of-date SIM card was to blame for the massive data roaming bill incurred over Christmas and New Year.

He initially refused to pay back a penny from his own pocket but then agreed to reimburse Holyrood in full - despite insisting the device was only used for work purposes.

Holyrood bosses details which showed about 3.7GB of data Mat his inc costing £8665 - was clocked up on the January 2 public holiday.

Another 1.2GB-costing £2249 was used on DA December 28.

January 2 saw a full fixture list in Scotland's top flight, with Rangers and Celtic drawing 2-2 at Ibrox.
