A GANGSTER who allegedly made more than £126million from his life of crime has cost taxpayers almost £25,000 in legal aid.
James White, 46, was a senior member of a gang branded the "most sophisticated" in the country for their dealings in drugs, firearms, serious violence and dirty money.
White, nicknamed the Don, was jailed for almost 10 years in August after being extradited back to Scotland from Brazil and admitting being involved in serious and organised crime.
