TERROR ACCUSED 'USED BED SHEETS IN PRISON ESCAPE'

TERROR suspect Daniel Khalife “may have used bed sheets” to escape from prison, a court has been told.

The 21-year-old, who was captured after four days on the run, appeared in front of magistrates yesterday, charged with escaping from lawful custody.

The former soldier is alleged to have fled HMP Wandsworth last Wednesday by strapping himself under a food delivery truck using material “made from bedsheets with clips at each end”.

He was eventually held by a plain-clothes officer while cycling near a canal in Northolt, London, on Saturday.
