WILL FISH says Manchester United and their technical director Darren Fletcher had no worries about Scottish football's quality when they decided to send him back on loan to Hibs.
So the defender reckons Ross County boss Derek Adams' claims the standard is "shocking" don't stack up.
Fish is thriving in his second season on loan at Easter Road, with Nick Montgomery tipping him for a "massive future".
The Hibs boss also went public with his desire to keep the 20-year-old permanently in Leith.
Fish admits he was humbled by the comments but he is focused solely on continuing to improve his game - and he reckons the level of opposition he faces every week is helping him do just that.
Adams' Staggies are today's opponents in Dingwall as Hibs look to bounce back from defeat at St Johnstone.
Asked about the County manager's comments, Fish said: "I can't get on board with it. I think it's a really good, challenging league, especially for a young center-half.
"You go from playing Celtic away one week to Ross County away the next.
