LUKE DONALD isn't fazed about the prospect of being pitched into Ryder Cup battle with Tiger Woods.
The 45-year-old has been reappointed as Europe's captain not even two months on from spearheading a resounding five-point win over the USA in Rome.
Donald becomes the first European this century to retain the job, with Bernard Gallacher having fulfilled the role in 1991, 1993 and 1995.
And the likelihood that will mean taking on a USA side led by Woods at Bethpage Black in just under two years' time does not trouble him.
Donald said: "Tiger has been mentioned as possible candidate and we'll have to wait and see. You would think he was going to be a Ryder Cup captain at some point.
"And if it's this time, great. If it's another time, great.
"I've got to play a lot of times with Tiger in my career. I have great admiration for what he has done in the game.
