DECLAN RICE left Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag clutching at straws after Arsenal's late show.

after The England midfielder and Gunners sub Gabriel Jesus both scored deep into added time Alejandro Garnacho's 88th-minute breakaway appeared to have won it for United, only for his celebrations to be curtailed.

While £105million Rice savoured the "special moment" of his first goal for Arsenal, furious ten Hag claimed United were robbed by technology.

And the Red Devils boss unfurled a shopping list of grievances after a dramatic defeat which left United in the bottom half of the EPL table already six points adrift of leaders Manchester City.

His mood was not improved as axed Jadon Sancho later claimed he had been made a "scapegoat" at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag watched replays of Garnacho's disallowed goal and protested: "It's not offside. [It's the] wrong angle, but we have to accept it. I've seen the angle, I don't see it as offside."

He also claimed Rice's goal should have been disallowed because Arsenal defender Gabriel pushed Jonny Evans in the build-up, saying: "It can't be that this goal is given. It was a clear and obvious foul on Evans - otherwise he would have blocked the shot from Rice.
