Franco's side are in good shape for dual glory bid

GLASGOW withstood a storm at Scotstoun last night to secure the win needed to book a home tie in the URC play-offs.

They've finished the job with a week to spare and the victory will also act as a confidence boost for Franco Smith's men ahead of meeting Scarlets again in the semi-final of the Challenge Cup in a fortnight's time.

Warriors will be hoping for much better overhead conditions for that match, which will be played in Llanelli, because despite the result this was a real struggle.

Torrential rain meant they couldn't play the high-tempo and free-flowing brand of rugby which has served them so well in recent months.
