SCOTS Tory leader Douglas Ross sparked a security panic after a toy gun was delivered to his Holyrood office.
Police got involved over fears a firearm had been sent to the MSP but it turned out to be a gift for his toddler son.
An angry insider told the Record a parcel which looked like it contained a gun was intercepted by Parliament security on Tuesday after being screened.
Police were contacted and a thorough search was carried out on the package, which an insider said contained an 8in toy gun.
It emerged that the toy had been ordered for Ross's son.
