A BOY of 16 has been charged after a mum was stabbed to death in the street.

Danielle Davidson, 33, was attacked outside a busy shopping centre in Edinburgh's Leith area in daylight.

A close family friend said: "Danielle was a mother and a daughter.

"To lose her life in this horrific way is too awful to think about."

A YOUNG mum was stabbed to death outside a busy shopping centre in a horrific attack.

Danielle Davidson, 33, was left fatally injured in the street following the incident in Edinburgh's Leith area.

A woman who witnessed the attack told the Record she saw Danielle crumpled on the ground and covered in blood.

She said Danielle and a friend had been involved in an argument before she was struck with a weapon.
