US President Joe Biden is expected to touch down in Ireland in two weeks’ time – after gardai were put on emergency standby for dates around Easter.
Officers were notified that no further leave or rest days will be granted for April 10 to 15 adding fuel to rumours the state visit has been moved forward. Mr Biden confirmed earlier this month he would travel to Ireland and Northern Ireland to mark the Good Friday Agreement 25th anniversary.
