The Qs to my heart

HAVE you ever wondered if there's a magic formula for falling in love?

If you have you're not alone and now eight couples are set to put the theory to the test on national television.

The Love Experiment starts on RTE 2 next Thursday with 16 strangers set to put the 36 Questions Of Love to the test over four episodes.

The social experiment was formulated by psychologist Dr Arthur Aron in the 1990s and has taken the dating world by storm.

It involves three sets of 12 questions designed to promote intimacy by increasing the amount of information someone discloses about themselves to a stranger.

Psychologist Malie Coyne, who screened participants for the RTE show, said it throws up some interesting results.

She told the Irish Sunday Mirror: “The original study was done in 1997 by two psychologists who are husband and wife.

“They wanted to figure out what builds intimacy, closeness, they had college students doing it in a lab.

“It ’s really about  helping people to gradually reveal more about themselves.

“The 36 questions start off more general so you dont get too intimate too quickly.

“You have to say the thing you like about each other out loud.
