Blues fan Lucie battles cancer for third time
Manchester Evening News
|October 31, 2024
LUCIE Joan Fagan had just returned to school after two years away when her mother received a knock at the door – it was her daughter’s teacher.
She had been undergoing gruelling treatment for a rare form of brain cancer, before finally being given the all-clear to return to class. But days later, just as she was settling back into the normal life of a teenage girl, Lucie collapsed after ‘having a fit’ last Thursday.
She had first been diagnosed with ependymoma, a growth of cells that forms a tumour, in March 2021, at the age of 10.
