'Darren, get in touch and just come home'

DOZENS of friends, family and residents took to the streets to help search for a missing man.

Darren Orme was last seen almost two weeks ago.

Since then, those close to the 54-year-old have been desperate for news on his whereabouts.

On Saturday, people scoured wherever they could in the Standish area, as well as wider Wigan. Many retraced each other's steps and looking for clues in the most inconspicuous of spaces.

Many taking part in the operation, organised by Lancashire Search and Rescue, were seen walking across Leeds and Liverpool Canal, taking them to areas such as Appley Bridge and Haigh.
