NEW DELHI: In a significant move to improve public transport accessibility, the Delhi government launched a new dedicated bus route for school children and introduced enhanced services on existing routes. Transport minister Kailash Gahlot flagged off two important bus routes, 892 STL and 892 SPL, on Sunday, marking a key step toward making commuting more efficient, particularly for residents of underserved and outer Delhi areas.
The flag-off ceremony, held at Dhoolsiras Village in the Bijwasan constituency, was attended by Gahlot along with local MLA Bhupinder Singh Joon. Route 892 SPL was specifically designed to serve school children, connecting Dhoolsiras Village to Chhawla School, while Route 892 STL caters to commuters between Nanak Heri and Dwarka Sector-10.
