Rapid nationalisation for failing train firms

BOSSES of failing train operators have been warned they could be fast-tracked for nationalisation.
The Department for Transport is preparing plans to take control of Avanti West Coast and CrossCountry services if performance remains poor.
Rail services operated by private firms are due to be nationalised as existing franchises expire, as part of Labour's plan to bring the network under public control.
