Even in Bemetara, the constituency of Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel, farmers are being compelled to provide excess paddy beyond the stipulated norms.

In Bilaspur district, Collector Avneesh Sharan has taken action by issuing a show-cause notice to Deputy Registrar Manju Pandey after confirming complaints of such irregularities. The notice demands an explanation within 24 hours, failing which unilateral action will be taken.
