IOCL fined ₹1 crore for pollution after refinery fire

The Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) has imposed a Rs.1 crore fine on Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for the air pollution caused by the fire at its Vadodara refinery on November 11.

The incident led to significant smog in nearby areas, resulting in an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 149 during the fire.
