CONSTRUCTION is due to start on more than 200 new homes at a new Plymouth housing development.
The housebuilder behind the Saltram Meadow site, in Plymstock, has secured planning permission for the next two stages of the vast development.
Construction will soon begin on 223 new homes, after Plymouth City Council gave approval to Persimmon Homes, Cornwall and West Devon, for phases seven and eight of the development on the edge of the National Trust’s Saltram Estate.
When completed, the estate will comprise up to 1,684 homes. All the properties will be equipped with airsource heat pumps and all those with parking will have electric vehicle charging points.
