PLYMOUTH Argyle invested over £6 million in capital investment projects during the 2022/23 season, the club’s annual report and financial statements have shown.
The most significant of these was the acquisition of Goals Plymouth on Outland Road last December for £3m, which is now known as Harpers Football Centre. There were also improvements to the car park area behind the Mayflower Grandstand, a big screen within the stadium and solar panels on the roof of the stadium.
In addition to that, there was the creation of a fan zone behind the Mayflower Grandstand and various upgrades to kiosks, stadium concourses and fan facilities.
In the club’s strategic report from the board of directors it states: “It remains a key objective that shareholder funds are invested in infrastructure to ensure the long-term strength of the club.
