87K applications received for liquor licences

The Prohibition and Excise department received an all-time highest number of 87,116 applications for licences of 3,396 liquor stores in the state notified under the new excise policy on Friday.

This has generated an income of ₹1,742.3 crore income through the non-refundable application fees from 87,116 applications to the state government.
