The mercury kept falling on Saturday, with the city recording the lowest minimum temperature of the season for the third consecutive day.

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature at the city's base station, Safdarjung, was 9 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal, and the season's lowest so far. The previous two lowest minimum temperatures were recorded on Friday and Thursday 9.6 degrees Celsius and 11.3 degrees, respectively.
