While the holding midfield role has previously tended to keep its occupants in the shadows, there has been a greater understanding of its value thanks to Spanish international Rodri’s stellar displays for club and country.
If that helps Glasgowborn Erhahon enjoy a little more recognition, he won’t be complaining.
“Rodri is not just one of the best defensive midfielders in the world, he’s one of the best players,” Erhahon told The FLP. “You can see how important he is to Man City and I want to replicate that at Lincoln.
