In my previous two columns I discussed how to improve your outdoor entertainment systems. Whether you want to upgrade your audio ("Creating an Audio Oasis") or your video ("Creating a Video Oasis"), there are tons of solutions at varying price points that will make sure your outdoor oasis is ready to party well past sundown!
But let's say you want something bigger than an 85-inch display, or are looking for a true outdoor theater experience? That takes a bit more doing, and is what I'll cover in this column.
BIG SPENDERS
The ultimate in outdoor video entertainment would be a MicroLED display. These are fantastically bright, have vibrant color, and come in a variety of sizes up to 200-inches. There is probably no greater expression of this technology than the models produced by C SEED, which are functional sculptures designed for the outdoors (and luxury yachts!) that almost magically rise from the ground and unfold into beautiful, cinema-sized displays. (Visit www.cseed.com to see the system in action.) Of course, with the "cheap" models selling for nearly $200-grand, these aren't for everyone. But, to quote Ferris Bueller, "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."
For the rest of us, getting a big screen experience outside will be the same as it is inside, which will be via a projector.

The Big Clean
Chances are you probably do not think about the state of your electronic devices too often. Oh, you might think about all the upgrades you would like to make; where you would put those new tower speakers, or how a second or third subwoofer would really tame those bass modes in your room, or how much more cinematic a larger screen would be. Sure, you think about that part of your system. But how often do you think about the well-being of your system?

Bridging the Analog-Digital Gap on a Recliner
When I shopped for a motorized recliner, I rejected models with their own Internet Protocol address and built-in speakers. No need. I had already placed a smart speaker on an étagère beside the space where I had planned to put the chair. I'd have a smartphone in my hand and the room would be bathed in Wi-Fi.
