Heard vs Depp

The 2022 televised trial between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard captivated millions of viewers. The actor, now 61, sued his ex after she identified herself as 'a public victim representing domestic abuse' in a 2018 article in The Washington Post.

At the end of the six-week case, Amber, now 38, was ordered to pay more than £8 million in damages, though she did win £1.5 million back as part of a counterclaim. The warring pair later came to a settlement, with Amber paying Johnny around £800,000.
