READER QUESTION
Q I always get the urge to spend when I see friends splashing out. How can I stop this?
A One way to combat this is to remind yourself of the decisions you’re making with your money, such as paying off debt, saving for something you desperately want, or putting money away towards a house deposit. So if you find you want to splurge when a friend books a fancy weekend away, instead of trying to ‘keep up’, focus on your own goals.
