A series of demanding roles are taking their toll

With Nicole Kidman confirming Big Little Lies season three is underway, sources tell Woman’s Day her husband

Keith Urban has been left wondering where he fits into her busy schedule and is concerned for his wife’s wellbeing.

Those close to the couple insist Kiwiborn crooner Keith, 56, is worried about his wife’s penchant for intense roles.

“Nicole looks frail,” one fan recently commented online of eyebrow-raising images of the 56-year-old actress fi lming new erotic thriller Babygirl in New York.

And the telltale pictures are said to have also sparked concerns for Keith, who worries Nicole is being pushed into provocative, challenging parts that no doubt impact the known method actress and her welfare. “You’re doing it sometimes and it’s just a flood of emotion,” Nicole admits of her latest role in Prime Video’s Expats.

“Because it took so long to make the series, it became a part of who I was. It was strange because it was always there. There was no closure, even for so many years that we were working on the show.”

Nicole has admitted to falling victim to her emotionally exhausting characters in the past.

In 2021, Nicole recalled the difficulty of her role as domestic violence survivor Celeste Wright in Big Little Lies, which saw her leaving the set with bruises that she later had to explain to her young daughters Sunday, now 15, and Faith, 13.
