Back in the UK for the first time in months, the Duke of Sussex was desperate to see his sister-in-law

When Prince Harry arrived in London for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games Foundation last week,

there was hope that a royal family reunion of sorts might be on the cards. But just hours later, he was forced to admit that King Charles III was too busy to see him.

A statement was swiftly issued from Harry’s camp, stating frostily, “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.” It added, “The duke, of course, is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities, and hopes to see him soon.”

Royal writer Richard Fitzwilliams reacted to the news, saying, “This, whatever the logistics, will be widely perceived as a snub.”
