He's one of Britain's best-loved nature enthusiasts, and with a career spanning over two decades, it's fair to say Ben Fogle knows a thing or two about the great outdoors. The TV star shot to fame presenting an array of shows, such as Countryfile, Animal Park and Extreme Dreams. Yet the adventurer is embarking on a new challenge: going on tour across the country this May and June, where he will recall some of his most hair-raising encounters to date.
Although, he is showing zero signs of taking his foot off the pedal when it comes to life on the wild side, revealing, 'Naturally, the whole family gets a bit nervous about some of the places I go to, but they have trust in me.
'I run ideas past them and hear their thoughts before I agree to do anything,' says the 49-year-old - whose past pursuits include trekking in the Peruvian jungle. Moreover, they say love what you do and the rest will follow, and that clearly was the case for Ben who met his future wife, Marina, while walking his dog in London's Hyde Park.
The couple tied the knot in a Portuguese ceremony in 2006 and are now proud parents to son Ludovic, 13, and daughter, lona, 12.
