This issue, we look at acts of kindness, such as how SAFRA supported a charity run initiative by hosting participants at its EnergyOne gyms at the start of 2018, or how The Teng Ensemble, co-founded by our feature personality, cellist Gerald Teo, is also actively working to give back to society. A group that brings together elements of East and West in its music, the Teng Ensemble offers scholarships to students with limited financial means, and also conducts free performances at care homes, dialysis centres, hospitals and hospices. In keeping with this theme, we also have our Savvy article that shows how you, if you've always wanted to give back, but didn't know how, can get started. Apart from promoting kindness and giving back, SAFRA also values the importance of family. Hence, it's continuing to organise fun activites to offer NSmen and their families more opportunities to spend quality time together. This includes Family Day Out events, such as the one in March at Gardens by the Bay, with more to come later this year, as well as the upcoming SAFRA Singapore Bay Run and Army Half Marathon, and the many exciting activities planned at SAFRA clubs to mark the upcoming men's football World Cup.
