With the many impressive RC shows that take place at the world-famous Paradise Field in Lakeland, Florida, there are scores of RC pilots and all types of great-looking and performing scale airplanes enjoying the often perfect weather and flying conditions. These events draw giant-scale enthusiasts from all over the States and even the Great White North of Canada. Dave Collis of Pitt Meadows, British Columbia has made the long trip to Florida more than once, and he has had a fair amount of success with his amazing WACO biplane. Model Airplane News contributor Rich Uravitch caught up with Dave to talk about his beautiful cream and green biplane. Here is Dave’s backstory.
MAN: Your WACO is among the most impressive planes here. Can you tell us a little about your project?
