Premier League superstars could be banned from playing if they refuse to have Covid jabs.

A new crackdown could see them losing their elite athlete exemption from quarantine on return from abroad if they turn down being vaccinated.

It would mean players would be barred from domestic matches and could plunge leading clubs - already crippled by rising Covid cases - into further chaos.

Around one in six of the country's top players have not had a single jab.
