A PLYMOUTH headteacher who helped turn around a troubled school which was on the brink of closure is helping take on another.
Jo Ware, already executive headteacher at UTC Plymouth, is now also in charge of Millbay Academy.
Millbay Academy was rated ‘inadequate’ by the education watchdog in January 2019, prior to joining Reach South Academy Trust in 2020.
Several big changes have now taken place, with the latest seeing Ms Ware take lead of a combined executive team between UTC Plymouth and Millbay Academy.
Both schools offer state-of-the-art facilities, with Millbay Academy on the brink of embarking on an exciting school renovation.
This will be instrumental to the relaunch of Millbay Academy’s creative identity.
