While MSMEs make up a significant portion of the business ecosystem in the country, a large portion the smaller players within this segment were the earliest to face the brunt of the pandemic. Many had no choice but to close their doors for good while others pivoted their business diversifying into other areas to stay afloat. Despite this, local entrepreneurs remain hopeful and as the world looks towards life in the post-pandemic era in the horizon, MSMEs are getting ready to re-start their businesses in anticipation of a surge of demand for goods services. The pandemic has forced the MSMEs to differentiate their marketing approach. To stay competitive, MSMEs turn to digitalisation to accelerate their recovery.
