We are “junkers” turned sign painters, and it only took one sign (our business name) to light that fire. It all began in 2003 when I painted my soon-to-be husband a plywood cutout sign of a flying pig. Little did we know that a decade would go by and that flying pig would be the first logo for Crackerjack Junk Co.
We have always shared a love for old signs including motel, diner and carnival signs, and while traveling during Joey’s 20-year military career, we had the privilege of seeing many amazing vintage signs.
Once Joey retired from the U.S. Air Force, we settled back home in small-town Texas, and immediately began painting signs. We had our first online July 4th sale, and much to our surprise and delight, we sold out in 15 minutes! For the past 7 years, we have been going strong and loving it.
