Minimalist and Contemporary, This Residence in Mumbai, Designed by Natasha Gupta Evokes a Serene and Elegant Vibe.
Just as careful application of colours can make or break a space; detailing and finishing are equally important in enhancing the overall aesthetics and finesse of any area. For this 1,200 sq. ft. apartment in Santacruz, Mumbai, different nuances of detailing is observed for this home. In the guest bedroom for instance, framed artworks are colour coordinated, as are the switches; while glossy, reflective finishes lend a glamour quotient and add refinement.
On stepping out off the re-designed Italian marble and mirrored lift lobby, a walnut veneered wooden door welcomes visitors into the living-cum-dining area. A contrast of sentiments are evoked through the placement of a serene Buddha statue on the dining table, juxtaposed against an elegant crystal chandelier above, whilst; Burma teak chairs upholstered in olive green leather finish fabric and a solid dining table is placed against a subtle patterned wallpaper. “Since the client wanted a clean, contemporary plan balanced with practical requirements, we designed an easy-to-maintain home,” explains Natasha Gupta principal designer of Natasha Gupta interior design.
