Drawing Digital

Many of us grew up drawing or writing on paper, and it’s a sensation that is so ingrained in us that going digital via the use of digital pens and drawing tablets simply feels strange, especially if you’re used to drawing with soft pens. Wacom’s new Intuos Pro Paper Edition is therefore something like a gift from the gods - depending on the size you get it’s a complete digital drawing solution that includes two pens and ten different types of nibs that you can swap out for.

The new Intuos comes in three sizes to handle three different paper sizes, and has a clip that lets you mount a piece of paper onto the digitizer. Simply draw naturally and let your hands flow and the Intuos Pro will store your writing or artworks - the device has enough memory to store up to 1,000 single layer drawings. To transfer files to a PC simply link the Intuos Pro to your wireless network or plug it into a USB port.

Amongst the host of accessories this digitizer pad comes with two pens, the Wacom Pro Pen 2 for pure digital work and the Wacom Fine tip Pen for more traditional paper and ink drawings.

What kind of changes do you see in the next few years for Wacom?
