Mui Kee, a popular Cantonese porridge concept from Hong Kong, has made its foray into Singapore.
Craving a heart-warming bowl of congee filled with high quality ingredients? Now, Singapore diners will get to savour traditional Cantonese style porridge by Hong Kong’s famous Mui Kee for breakfast and lunch. Mui Kee recently launched a six-month-long pop-up (until the end of the year) at Casa Verde, Singapore Botanic Gardens, as part of a collaboration with the Les Amis Group. By 2018, it will set up a permanent outlet in Singapore.
This third-generation family-run business is managed by 34-year-old Pierre Choi (affectionately known as Ah Tung), who started working at Mui Kee at the age of 22. His knowledge of traditional congee has been passed down to him from his father and late grandmother, Mak Mui.
