Air Carnival Goes Bankrupt
Air Carnival is now going into bankruptcy proceedings. The Chennai bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) ordered the corporate insolvency resolution process against grounded regional airline admitting a petition filed by its former employees, for allegedly defaulting on salaries and other reimbursements.
The NCLT has appointed Kavitha Surana as insolvency resolution professional (IRP), who has been asked to take control of the company’s management.
