Those that know me will be all too aware of my inbuilt distrust of any technology that involves more than an on/off switch, and of my inability to deal with such technologies and, recently, I have become very aware of the fact that I need to join the 21st century by learning how to use these modern contrivances.

My immersion into the world of tech was straight into the deep end by downloading an app for the Cardo Packtalk Pro - the device with which I was to expand my mind. Now, I've downloaded apps onto my smartphone a number of times before, but this one showed my true status of rockchucking neanderthal. I had to ask a genius to do it. The same genius who neatly fitted the Packtalk's cradle and its associated wiring and speakers into my Scorpion EXO R1.

Being cold on a motorcycle isn't just unpleasant, it's potentially dangerous! The human body is designed to maintain a stable internal temperature of around 37°c. When it drops by just a couple of degrees, hypothermia starts to kick in, causing symptoms including shivering, mild confusion, lack of coordination/fumbling hands and drowsiness. None of which help you control a bike. And that's only mild hypothermia!
